How does Yez3 help you stop procrastinating?

Yez3 is an AI coach and daily planner for the work that matters. It keeps the big project you keep postponing moving until it's finished, and stops everyday tasks from eating your time. Your coach checks in when something important is still open and doesn't let "later" turn into never.

Which one sounds like you?

The big thing you keep postponing

A new website for your business. A new ad channel. Opening a store. Asking for a promotion. It's important, so it needs "proper time" — and proper time never comes. Instead, you answer emails, fix small things, scroll for a minute. Months pass.

  • Launched, not postponed. Your website live, your store open, your first client signed.
  • Proud of your year. In twelve months you look back at what you built — not at the same old to-do.
  • Noticed at work. The promotion, the raise, the project with your name on it.

Too many small tasks

Calls, emails, errands, requests, reminders. By evening you were busy all day — and nothing important moved. Every list you start turns into an endless scroll you stop opening.

  • Done by evening. Close the laptop knowing the important things got done.
  • Nothing slips. No forgotten promises, no 11 p.m. "oh no".
  • Your time is yours again. Evenings and weekends without work on your mind.
Start with my first step

Why do we put off the things that matter most?

Not because you're lazy. Big tasks are vague and uncomfortable: where do you even start? The brain avoids that feeling and grabs something easy instead — an email, a small fix, a quick scroll. Research describes procrastination as a way to escape an unpleasant feeling, not a time-management failure. More willpower doesn't fix it. Someone who keeps the big thing moving with you does.

  • "Stop procrastinating" was the #4 most popular goal on 43 Things, one of the largest goal-sharing communities.

  • 49% of Americans who make New Year's resolutions set work or career goals; among those under 30, 65% — Pew Research Center, 2024.

  • Procrastination is linked to short-term mood repair: putting off a task makes you feel better now, at the cost of your future self — Sirois & Pychyl, Social and Personality Psychology Compass, 2013.

Your goal. Your pace.

What are you putting off?

Pick what fits you — your coach will build your first plan around it.

Start with my goal

How does Yez3 fit into a busy work day?

  1. Morning — dump and sort. Say or type everything on your mind. Sort it into Minimum, 100% and Maximum with your coach — critical tasks first.
  2. Day — one thing at a time. Start with your Minimum. Use the focus timer for the hard parts: 25 minutes on, 5 off, with background sounds if you like.
  3. Before the day ends — check-in. If a key task is still open, your coach writes first and asks what's in the way.
  4. Evening — review. See what got done, move what didn't, plan tomorrow with your coach.

You choose your active hours. Near the end of them, your coach stops suggesting new tasks for today.

In your corner

What happens when a task just won't move?

Every list has one task that sits there for days. Yez3 notices it — and instead of reminding you again, your coach helps you figure out why it's stuck and makes it small enough to start.

  • Writes first. When a key task is still open near the end of your day, when unsorted tasks pile up, or when something has been stuck for more than 5 days.
  • Notices patterns. When the same blocker comes up again and again, your coach remembers it and talks about it directly.
  • Tough or gentle. Choose a coach who holds you to your word or one who supports without pressure.
  • Edits your plan in the chat. Add, move, close or split tasks just by talking — no switching screens.

"Draft the website brief" has been waiting for 6 days. What's making it hard?

I don't even know what to put in it.

Coach

Then that's the first step. Want to just find 5 websites you like and write one line about each? 15 minutes, tomorrow's Minimum.

Ok. Morning works.

Coach

What time exactly?

9:30.

Coach

Done. "Find 5 websites I like" is on tomorrow's Minimum, 9:30 am.

The first step is the smallest

How do I start?

  1. Tell us what you're putting off. A short quiz — your coach builds your first plan from your answers.
  2. Get today's first step. A Minimum you can do on a chaotic day, plus 100% and Maximum for better days.
  3. Close your Minimum every day. Your coach checks in, helps when you're stuck, and your streak grows.

What else helps you follow through?

Brain dump & voice

Hold the mic and say everything on your mind. Yez3 turns it into tasks; sort them with your coach when you're ready.

Focus timer

Full-screen focus sessions: 25 minutes on, 5 off, a long break after four. Rain, forest, café sounds and a breathing mode.

Recurring tasks

Weekly report every Friday, invoices on the 1st — they land in the right plan automatically.

Reminders

For any task, at the time you choose.

Calendar & history

See your tasks by day, what got done and what was skipped, with charts for the last 6 weeks.

Guilt-free streaks

Close your Minimum, win the day. Mark weekends as days off; earn streak freezes for strong weeks.

Coach memory

Your goals, your usual blockers, how you like to be talked to — the coach remembers them, and you can edit anything.

How is Yez3 different from a to-do list or a focus app?

A to-do list stores tasks. A focus app blocks distractions. An AI scheduler fills your calendar. Yez3 helps you actually start the important thing — and checks in when you don't.

What does research say about beating procrastination?

It's about feelings, not time. Procrastination works as short-term mood repair — avoiding an unpleasant task feels better now. Making the first step less unpleasant helps more than better scheduling. — Sirois & Pychyl, 2013

Specific plans beat good intentions. Deciding exactly when and where you'll act ("at 9:30 tomorrow, at my desk") makes people much more likely to follow through. — Gollwitzer & Sheeran, meta-analysis of 94 studies, 2006

Smaller goals are reached more often. In a study of 1.4 million app users, people with the smallest goals reached them about three times as often as those with the biggest. — Gordon, Althoff & Leskovec, Stanford, WWW 2019

"Do" beats "don't". In a year-long experiment with 1,066 people, 58.9% of goals framed as "do something" were reported successful, versus 47.1% of goals framed as "stop something". — Oscarsson et al., PLOS ONE, 2020

These studies are about procrastination and goals in general, not about Yez3.

Frequently asked questions

How can Yez3 help me stop procrastinating?

Yez3 makes the first step small enough to start, puts critical tasks before busywork and checks in when an important task is still open. When you say "later", your coach asks for a time. When a task is stuck for days, it helps you find out why and split it.

How is Yez3 different from Todoist, TickTick or other to-do apps?

To-do apps store and organize your tasks. Yez3 helps you finish them: three plans so chaotic days still count, critical tasks first, and an AI coach who sees your plan, edits it in the chat and messages you first when something important is slipping.

Is Yez3 good for people with ADHD?

Many people who struggle to start tasks find small first steps, brain dumps, the focus timer and coach check-ins helpful. Yez3 is a planning and coaching tool, not a medical treatment, so it works alongside whatever support you already have rather than replacing it.

Can I use Yez3 for my business or side project?

Yes. Yez3 works well for owners and freelancers with big projects that keep waiting: a new website, a new ad channel, finding clients, opening a location. Your coach breaks them into steps and keeps them on your daily plan next to everything else.

Is Yez3 for teams?

No. Yez3 is a personal planner and coach. It helps you manage your own tasks and goals — at work and in life. For shared team projects, keep your team tool and use Yez3 for what you personally need to move forward.

How much time does planning take?

A minute or two. Dump everything on your mind by voice or text, and your coach can sort it into plans for you. The goal is less time organizing and more time doing.

How much does Yez3 cost?

Yez3 is a subscription with a free trial for new subscribers. The price depends on your country and is shown in the App Store or Google Play before you pay. You can try the mobile app as a guest first — no sign-up — and create an account later to keep your progress.
